LOW-INCOME GENDER AFFIRMING AESTHETICS SCHEME

Rather than offering a small number of completely free treatments, the scheme uses a supported-cost model designed to help as many people as possible while remaining sustainable long-term.

All of my time, clinical expertise, appointment time and standard consumables are donated by Joy by Sophie. Funding raised through donations, alongside support from external brands where available, is used to subsidise the cost of the products required for treatment.

Patients accessing the scheme will therefore usually be asked to make a contribution towards the cost of the products used. This will be significantly lower than the usual cost of treatment, with the exact amount depending on the individual treatment plan and the funding available at the time.

By operating in this way, donations can go further and the scheme can continue supporting more people over the long term.

Description text goes hereThis scheme exists specifically for people experiencing genuine financial barriers to accessing gender-affirming aesthetic treatment.

It is intended for trans, non-binary and gender-diverse people who would not otherwise be able to afford treatment at standard clinic prices.

You may be eligible if you:

• Are currently unemployed or unable to work.

• Are on a low income.

• Receive means-tested benefits or have very limited disposable income.

• Are experiencing significant financial hardship which means gender-affirming aesthetic treatment would otherwise be inaccessible to you.

• Would realistically be unable to access treatment without the financial support provided through this scheme.

Dedicated scheme clinics will run one day per month from October 2026.

Dates and the number of appointments available will depend on injector availability and available funding.

As this is a small, independently run scheme, demand may sometimes exceed the number of appointments I can safely provide. The waiting list may therefore temporarily close if it becomes too large, allowing me to prioritise those already waiting rather than creating unrealistic expectations around treatment times.

Gender-affirming aesthetics isn't about creating one particular version of femininity, masculinity or androgyny.

Everyone accessing the scheme will complete a consultation to discuss their goals, areas of dysphoria or concern, medical history and what they would personally like to achieve. Treatment will only be recommended where it is clinically appropriate and where I believe it can realistically support those goals. Please note prescription only medication will not be available through the scheme.

There is never an expectation to have treatment simply because you have joined the waiting list, though patients may only have one appointment slot based on scheme demand.
